Australian Wagyu Beef Now Available at Retail
LOS ANGELES, Calif. - Previously available only in fine restaurants and at private country clubs, Greg Norman Signature™ Wagyu will be sold for the first time at retail level at Bristol Farms beginning January, 2007, it was announced today. Greg Norman Signature™ Wagyu is the flagship line of a new luxury beef brand developed by internationally-acclaimed golfer Greg Norman in partnership with AAco, Australia's leading beef producer.

Greg Norman Signature™ Wagyu will be available this January as part of Bristol Farm's "Taste of Australia," promotion centering on the foods, beverages and universal appeal of all things "down under." Free samples of this super premium beef and other tastes of Australia will be offered in all 14 Bristol Farms retail stores, including the new Palm Desert location opening in mid-January.
Bristol Farms will carry the line's tri-tip cut, a California favorite which earns a marble score 7 on the 12 point Japanese marbling scale.
Greg Norman Signature™ Wagyu is a 350-day, grain-fed line of imported Australian Wagyu. Pronounced WAG-oo, it's a super-premium beef known not only for its generous marbling, but also for its fat quality; Wagyu cattle produce beef that is lower in saturated fats than other beef. Greg Norman Signature™ Wagyu is produced under "farm-to-plate" standards for a consistently high quality of marbling and flavor.
